    Creamy Chicken, Macaroni and Green Pea Skillet

    1 broiler-fryer, cut up
    2 tablespoons oil
    1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
    1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
    1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
    1-1/2 soup cans water
    1 package (10-oz.) frozen peas
    1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
    Fresh ground black pepper

    Brown chicken in oil; push to one side of skillet. Add onion and saute until tender. Stir in macaroni and add diluted soup, making sure soup covers macaroni. Rearrange chicken on macaroni, top with peas and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender and chicken is done.

    Makes 4 servings
