Toss just-cooked and drained pasta in a frying pan with butter, cream, and Parmesan cheese. While cooking, add minced parsley and scallions, leftover vegetables or meat, etc. Allow to thicken (add more cheese if necessary); season with salt and pepper.

Heat frozen meatballs, cooked sausage pieces, or leftover chicken in spaghetti sauce and serve over pasta.

Mix in a baking dish: spaghetti sauce, shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, Colby, Parmesan, or a mixture), one cup milk, one or two lightly beaten eggs, a dash of nutmeg, and about half as much uncooked shell or elbow macaroni as other ingredients. Bake, covered, about 40 minutes at 350. The dish is done when the pasta is cooked. Serve with garlic bread and a garnish of parsley or fresh tomato wedges.
