    Famous Pumpkin Pie

    List of Ingredients




    1 unbaked 9 inch deep dish pie shell
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    1/4 tsp ground cloves
    2 eggs
    1 can of Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin (1 3/4 cups)
    1 1/2 c. or 12 oz can of evaporated milk

    Combine sugar, salt and spices in a small bowl. Mix. Add eggs, pumpkin, and evaporated milk. Beat until well mixed.
    Pour into pie shell.

    Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temp. to 350 degrees and bake 40 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve or chill until cold. Do not freeze.

    Of course you need to add whipped cream topping.

    This recipe comes from the Libby's pumpkin can. I have used other pumpkin but do like Libby's the best. The factory is ten miles from me and the pumpkins are grown near my town also.
