    I usually double the sauce and make 8 thick chops.
    This has become a favorite of mine...yummy!!

    Barbequed Pork Chops**, (w/applesauce)

    6 pork chops
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 cup applesauce
    1 chopped onion
    1 cup ketchup
    1/4 cup water
    1 Tablespoon soy sauce
    1/4 teaspoon ground sage

    Season chops with salt and pepper.
    Brown in frying pan.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender.
