    Basic Buffalo-Style Chicken Wings

    3 pounds chicken wings

    1/2 cup hot pepper sauce

    1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

    1 teaspoon paprika

    1 teaspoon chili powder

    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    Celery sticks and blue cheese dressing for serving

    Heat oven to 425 degrees. Rinse and pat dry wings. Arrange in a single layer on baking sheets and bake 1 hour, until nicely browned and crisp, turning after 30 minutes. (Or deep-fry wings 10 to 12 minutes, until cooked through and crisp, or grilled over medium coals for about 30 minutes.)

    Combine the pepper sauce, melted butter, paprika, chili and garlic powders. Drizzle over the hot wings, turning to coat evenly. Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side. Makes 6 servings.
