    Iced Butterscotch Cookies

    1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
    2 large eggs
    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp table salt
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cups sour cream
    1/3 cups chopped walnuts
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 cup margarine
    2 Tbsp. margarine

    Recipe



    Cream softened margarine; add brown sugar gradually and beat well. Blend in eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Blend in vanilla and chopped nuts. Chill until dough is firm. Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased sheet. Leave 2" between each cookie. Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes or until done. When cool, frost. Icing: Melt 2 Tbsp. margarine and keep over low heat until it is golden brown. Blend in sugar. Add vanilla; stir in enough hot water to make spreading consistency.

    Makes about 5 doz.
