    BEEF, SAUCE POT MEAT BALLS


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    • 1 1/4 C. water
    • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1/2 t. garlic salt
    • 1/2 t. thyme
    • 1/4 t. pepper
    • 1 T. chopped parsley


    Instructions


    1. In deep, thick saucepan, bring to a boil quickly, onion soup mix, water and 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce.

    2. Simmer, covered for 10 minutes.

    3. Mix ground beef, seasonings, parsley and remaining tomato sauce.

    4. Shape hamburger into 16 meatballs and place them in sauce.

    5. Simmer gently, uncovered for 35-40 minutes, turning occasionally.



    Final Comments


    Serve over hot noodles, spaghetti or rice. Makes about 4 servings.
