    I live near Morton Illinois near the Pumpkin Capitol of the World! This is the chili that they
    serve at the pumpkin festival each fall. Enjoy!


    1 lb ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 can of pumpkin (regular size can)
    2 c. water
    1 envelope of taco seasoning
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
    1 can of chili beans

    Brown beef and onins together. Drain off grease if needed. Add garlic and cook for 3
    minutes. Add pumpkin, water, taco seasoning, chili powder, chili beans, and salt. Heat
    slowly for 30 minutes. Add cheese! Serve. I always make a double batch.
    Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
